Steerable Catheters

Steerable catheters are much more complex than your average catheter. Built to deliver critical devices to difficult-to-reach anatomy, these catheters are designed with both physician and patient needs in mind.

Switchback Medical combines catheter construction knowledge with their delivery system expertise to develop steerable catheters for a wide range of applications. Switchback has the capabilities to rapid prototype steerable catheters using 3D printed handles and quick turn composite shaft construction.

Catheters

Reinforced Catheters

Reinforced catheters are built with a composite shaft consisting of a combination of wire coil and/or braid over a liner and held together by reflowing multiple-durometers of polymer jackets. Reinforced catheters are typically used in tortuous anatomy or for delivering demanding devices or high pressures. They are designed to maintain the integrity of that catheter throughout the procedure.

Nitinol Components

Switchback knows how valuable Nitinol can be in variety of devices and implant applications due to its elasticity properties and capabilities of returning back to its original shape when exposed to body temperature. Switchback designs, heat sets, and forms many Nitinol components for various devices.
